The First Hotel

MP & Shaila Patel bought their first hotel in Worland Wyoming.  With their Family and Business in mind, MP & Shaial moved from Los Angeles, California to a small one stoplight town where they purchased a 35 room Super 8 Hotel.  Living in the back office of the hotel, they raised their family while running their business.

Days Inn Grand Island

Wanting to grow their business, MP & Shaila purchased their first fully owned hotel, the Days Inn in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Days Inn Laramie & Comfort Inn Evanston

MP & Shaila had lived in Wyoming for 10 years, and saw that there was a need for new hotels in Wyoming.  They took their business to the next level building their first hotel, the Days Inn in Laramie, Wyoming in April of 2001. Followed by the Comfort Inn in Evanston, Wyoming in November of 2001

KMI is Born

After growing their portfolio to three hotels, MP & Shaila decided to create a corporate structure in order to manage their properties.  Comfort Inn Evanston, Days Inn Laramie, and Days Inn Grand Island were KMI Management’s first three clients.

Comfort Inn & Suites Riverton

With an eye for unique locations.  KMI Management completed construction of the Comfort Inn & Suites in Riverton, Wyoming.

Hampton Inn Grand Island

WIth a passion to grow, KMI completed construction on its first Upper-Mid Scale brand, the Hampton Inn Grand Island in January of 2006

Comfort Inn North Platte

Grabbing every opportunity, KMI Management acquired a busy I-80 hotel, the Comfort Inn in North Platte, Nebraska.

Hampton Inn Evanston

The Comfort Inn in Evanston was so successful that KMI decided Evanston needed another hotel.  In June 2009 the construction of the Hampton Inn in Evanston was completed.

The Lodge at Big Sky

Reaching new heights, KMI acquired the Lodge at Big Sky in Big Sky Montana.  This hotel is located within minutes of The Big Sky Resort, one of North Americas Largest Ski Resorts.

Fairfield Inn& Suites Laramie

Finding even more opportunity in their home town, KMI Management acquired the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Laramie, Wyoming.

Country Inn & Suites Orangeburg & Summerville

Wherever opportunity calls, KMI is there.  KMI choreographed its biggest deal all the way in South Carolina acquiring the Country Inn & Suites in Orangeburg and Summerville in August 2014.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Sidney

Going back into construction, KMI Management finished construction on its second Marriott branded hotel, the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Sidney, Nebraska.

Hampton Inn & Suites Pinedale

KMI Management takes over management of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Pinedale, Wyoming.

Golden Hills Lodge Lead, South Dakota

KMI procured the Golden Hills Lodge.  KMI plans to convert the beautiful 5 story, 100 room hotel into a Hampton Inn.  The conversion has begun and you can expect the hotel to open in the Summer of 2021.

Comfort Inn & Suites Rawlins, Wyoming

KMI Management procured the Comfort Inn & Suites in Rawlins, Wyoming.  KMI is proud to take over such a wonderfully managed I-80 hotel, that was built to exceed all Comfort Inn Brand requirements.

Building a better future

KMI Management is at heart, a family business.  With MP and Shaila’s continuing guidance, their children will push the company to even higher horizons.
